Lines & Shapes

sarah816202

Drawing is based on line and shape placement, with or without colour. It can be recognisable or abstract, as seen in Abstraction, Cubism, and Zentangle. These styles show art’s impact, offering creativity, relaxation, and expression in all aspects of life.

Paul Klee described drawing as, "A line going for a walk."

Art Inspiration;

🎨 You may wish to draw conventional shapes or architectural plans.

🎨 Try line art using a combination of vertical, horizontal, diagonal, zigzag, and curved lines. Perhaps, have fun with continuous Line Art?

🎨 Download a Zentangle drawing, or create your own and colour.

🎨 Look at Cubism Artwork in the style of Braque, Picasso and others.

🎨 Maybe you are inclined to create art from your emotions, like Kandinsky…

🎨 Use your non-dominant hand to draw or close your eyes and imagine shapes and in your mind's eye draw from memory.

A colourful abstract painting giving the impression of 2 sailing ships with tall black masts in battle with tattered sails, bobbing in a sea of bright colours of orange, yellow, blue, red, black and some white. Approaching a yellow shore.
Improvisation 31 (Sea Battle) by Wassily Kandinsky (1913)
